Barcelona
A Spanish variety. A vigorously growing shrub that reaches 3–5 meters in height. The nuts are large to very large. They ripen at the beginning of September. The kernel is sweet, juicy, and very tasty. A very high-yielding variety. Frost-resistant.

Giant of Halle
A German variety. A vigorously growing shrub that reaches 3–5 meters in height. The nuts are very large, conically elongated. They ripen at the end of September. The kernel is large, light cream-colored, sweet, and tasty. Produces very abundantly.

Red Lambert
A variety of unknown origin. A moderately vigorous shrub. Leaves are large, greenish-red. The nuts are reddish-brown, elongated, and grow in clusters. They ripen in the second half of September. The kernel is light cream-colored, not very juicy, but tasty. An excellent plant for both utility and ornamental purposes.
